Our audio was recorded by lesson. Each lesson has 1 to several slides. Is there a quick way to upload audio to first slide and clip the rest of the audio and paste to the next slide and so forth without having to create separate files for each slide in an external editor and import individually.

There isn't an easy way to cut or copy a portion of an audio clip and paste it on another slide. Your best bet would be to use one of these options:
