Audio file automatically launch at the start of the slide since update

Nov 13, 2019

Hi,

I've just updated Storyline 360 and i have now an issue when i'm importing audio file.

Previously when my audio file was played by a trigger (a click on a button for exemple) the audio file appearrance changed in the timeline and my sound is not played at the launch of my slide. Now, when i do the same, the audio file keep the original appaearance in the timeline and is launched at the start of the slide, that is very boring... can you give me a tip?

Thanks !

We were able to replicate it on a new project file and we’ve  already logged it as a possible software bug.

The issue seems to be happening with the new trigger panel workflow. As a workaround, after you created the trigger to play the audio, click on the New Trigger button as if creating a new trigger. The waveform will switch over to the non-wave form and will behave as expected. Or highlight the affected trigger, and click on the new trigger button.

Hi Lucie,

Great news!

We just released another update for Articulate 360, which includes a fix for the "Play Media" trigger not preventing the audio/video from playing automatically on loading the slide.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
