Audio for iPhone issue
Jul 21, 2015
Hello! I have recently been testing presentations that were created via Storyline 2 and include audio that was recorded/imported. On the desktop and iPad all of the audio sounds good-when played on an iPhone the audio is very quick (sounds fast forwarded) and sounds like the Chipmunks are talking. Does anyone have any ideas about how I need to resolve this. I have not tested on an Android phone yet, but will be doing so ASAP. Thanks!

Hi, Chandler --
Sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing, but there are a few things we can try first to rule out some common issues. Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on Update 5 can be found here.
If issues persist, you are welcome to share your file here, and we will be happy to take a look and do some testing on our end.
Christie,
Thanks for the different options; I have downloaded the updated version, so we will see if that helps. We have to send the zipped files via Dropbox to the IT department to embed them on our website; I always save to my desktop, the shared “N:drive” and the local C drive-however when I pull the zipped files to be uploaded into Dropbox, I am pulling them from a folder on the N:drive (where they were stored after being zipped-could this be causing problems? ) Also, we have folks testing on their iPhone- 2 out of 3 times audio is fine, but then occasionally will act up….the IPad always seems to work correctly-this seems so strange…
I have also experienced this sound issue while using my iphone 6. The audio will be sped up like Chandler mentioned and I would experienced the audio slowed down at times too. I noticed refreshing safari on my iphone would fix the problem, but majority of the time it start the story it as sound issues.
Hi, Chandler and Nathan -- Upon further investigation of this issue, it appears that this behavior has been reported to our QA team before, and during their exploration, unfortunately, they discovered that the issue is an Apple-related bug.
Thank you, Christie!
Sure thing, Nathan -- I wish I could be of more assistance (and welcome to the community, by the way)! Sorry I didn't realize a moment ago; we're glad you're here! :)
Chandler, Nathan, please check out my post here.
I am having iPhone audio issues I cannot get past too.
