Audio Freezes in Storyline

Jan 15, 2014

Good day!

I am attaching a lengthy audio clip to a storyline piece I am working on (approx 4:30 in length).  I am trying to add cue points to bring in varios pieces, and my system keeps freezing.

When I bring up Task Manager, it appears that I am using approximately 43% of Physical Memory on my system).

I keep on getting the pop up message for the Storyline Error Report.

Thoughts?  Is my audio just too long?

Hi Brent,

Does the error message say anything else? First, I'd close out any other programs that may also be taking up memory and diverting it away from Storyline. Next I'd also confirm that you were working with all local project files, with the file path less than 260 characters and no special characters or symbols in the file names.  To see if it's the audio file or your Storyline file, you may want to try inserting the audio file into a new blank project and see if all works as expected there. You can also try importing your Storyline file into a new project to try and resolve any odd behavior.

What update of Storyline are you using? We're currently on update 4.

Lastly, if it's still behaving oddly, I'd conduct the repair of Storyline.
