I am creating an eLearning module and I am using markers. I want audio to play when a marker is clicked, which I know how to do; however, all of the audio is in just one file. Can the audio editor in Storyline break up the file into separate files? Otherwise I'm not sure how I can make this interaction work. I don't have an audio editor on my PC.
Sure. I opened up a new instance of Storyline 2, started a new blank project and copied the audio in.
I needed the audio broken into 5 pieces so I added 5 layers. I copied the audio into each layer and edited the audio in each layer as normal so I had each separate chunk of audio in each layer. I also named them to keep them in line with what I needed.
Once I had the edited audio files, I copied and pasted them back into my project and then added triggers to the markers to play the corresponding audio file when the marker is clicked.

It's ok, I managed to figure out a way to do it.
I appreciate you popping back in with an update Hillary and glad that you were able to get this working.
If it's something that may benefit someone else that runs across this thread in the future, I'd encourage you to share :)

Hope this is helpful.
