Audio is not stopped when video starts playing

Hi
I have a simpel slide where there is a video that shall be started manually by clicking the play button. But there is also an audio file (speaker voice) that automatically starts when timeline starts. The problem have is that if I press the play button on the video it doesn't end the tha audio, which of course means that the audio and the video is on at the same time.
I've tried to set a trigger on the video which is Stop media/the audio file/when user clicks/the video
But this is not working.
Any idea of how to solve this?

Hello, Henrik!
You should be able to pause the audio when clicking the video using this trigger:
It sounds like that trigger isn't working correctly for you. What version of Storyline are you using? Are you able to share this slide with me so I can take a closer look?
Hi Alyssa!
Attached you will find the slide.
I also tried using a hotspot on the video play button but that disabled the pause functionality.
Please disregard the bad quality of the video.

Hi Henrik!
Thanks for sending over your file. The play button in the video control bar does add some complexity, since you can't access that button from a trigger.
How about putting the video on a layer? When the video layer opens, the audio on the base layer is paused. Check out the changes I made to your file, and let me know if that'll work for you!
Hi Alyssa!
Thanks for your reply and the suggested solution that you attached. That can work.
Just want to check so that I understand you right. The first suggestion you mentioned in your first reply in this thread is not working then? Why is that? Because that solution was the first I tried also. Is this a bug?

Hi Alyssa!
I did not get the solution you attached to work. Tha audio on the base layer is not stopped/paused when the layer opens.
What do I do wrong?

Hi Henrik! Happy to answer your questions!
No, this is not a bug. The solution in my first reply was based on playing a video by clicking on the video itself (with no video control bar). If you include the video control bar, there's a chance learners will click the "Play" button. Because you can't access the "Play" button from the trigger panel, there isn't a way to pause the audio when the learner clicks that button.

Open the Slide Layer Properties, and be sure that "pause timeline of base layer" is enabled.
Let me know if that helps!
