I have recently encountered an issue with projects I am creating in Storyline not functioning properly. Specifically, the audio does not play once published to our LMS. Can anyone please share with me some possible reasons this could be happening?
Well, because I am on such a tight deadline, I decided to open up a new Stoyrline project and copy over the slides from the one that is not working. When I did this, none of the audio files copied over, so I recorded the narration again from scratch. Now it plays fine once published.
I'm not sure why this is happening. So far, it has happened to two of the current projects I'm working on. I do not have the time to record the narration over again on these projects. I hope we hear something as to what may be causing this soon.
When you're looking to transfer slides from one Storyline project to another, you'll want to follow here to import into a new Storyline project instead of just copying/pasting. Also, was the audio not playing during your preview? Did you try testing it anywhere other than your LMS, say on SCORM Cloud to determine if it's file specific or LMS? If you'd like to share the .story file here with us, we'd be happy to take a look and try publishing it as well.
You'll also want to confirm that you're working with local project files as described here. Working on a network drive could cause loss of resources or file corruption.
