Audio on base won't play on layers

Hi

I a 42 seconds worth of audio on the base slide.  When a portion of it is done, the base will switch to a layer and is supposed to play the rest of the audio.  Currently, the base slide will had off to the layer, but the audio is not playing.  I'm using the 30 day trail until my company can get the full version.

Any thoughts why it is not playing on the layer slide?
