I know this should be simple. I've created many slides with layers where the audio is on the main layer and have never run into a problem. I've tried to recreate this file at least six times and each time the same thing happens. When the trigger changes to the second layer, the audio that is on the first layer stops. I cannot for the life of me figure out what is happening. Can someone please provide some guidance.
My layer settings were correct. After much searching, I found an explanation of how to turn off some main layer features. I was able to go the the timeline and hide everything on the layers except the audio. Worked well. Thanks so much for following up.

Is the second layer set to hide all other layers? That is one thing that could cause it.

Is the 'pause timeline of base layer' selected?
