Audio Option in Storyline 2

Hi Marilyn!  Is the audio a separate file from your screencast?  If it is just audio included within the screen recording and/or video file, you can use the Video Options tab at the top to mute the audio in your video files.

That is the problem. I no longer have a “Video Options Tab” at the top of my screen. My co-workers also have Storyline 2 installed and that option is also missing on their software.

Let me clarify, I do not have the Video Options Tab.  The screencast was not a separate recording, it was done in Storyline.  I was trying to muting the background noise.  This e-learning activity has been out there for quite some time and was notified of the background noise.  When I went back in to use the Video Options Tab to "mute" the background noise again, this is when I noticed this option was missing.

• A note about recorded audio: If you decide to insert your screen recording as step-by-step slides, recorded audio won't be used. Step-by-step slides display only the action-related video clips from your screencast. Your audio will still be available in the original screen recording in case you want to insert it as a video on a single slide.

So, sounds like you may have it inserted as a video, correct? Are you in slide view with the video selected when you are looking for the Video Tools option as Crystal shared above?

Here is the attachment.  No, I didn't insert as a video.  It is recorded from Storyline.

You were not seeing the correct options because the video was locked in the timeline and didn't allow editing. Remove the lock, select the video, and you can Mute the Audio :)
