Audio overlaps when slide layers are clicked in the middle of an ongoing audio (not from base layer audio) - but only in the MOBILE version; DESKTOP version works perfectly
I'm not sure if you're already able to get what I'm trying to say in the title.
What's happening...
When I view the course (interaction) in the desktop, the triggers work perfectly - Audio in a slide layer will play if object is clicked in the base layer - Audio will stop if the user clicks outside of a hotspot, hence no audio overlap
But when I view it in mobile, the triggers act up - Audio in a slide layer will play if object is clicked in the base layer BUT... - Audio will not stop even if the user clicks outside of a hotspot, hence audio overlaps with another slide layer with audio
Is there a way to solve this issue with the mobile view?
Probably a bug with the triggers in mobile?
'Cause I have similar interactions like this in the course and they all work perfectly--both in mobile and desktop.
Thanks for sharing your file here. I took a look and saw the same issue on my iPhone 6S running iOS 12. I see that our team is also looking into a similar issue where audio can overlap while viewing on iPad / iPhone when using custom buttons with Play media triggers.
I did notice that your slide layers were not set up to hide the other slide layers, and making that simple change allowed me to have the audio play individually. I also removed your player media triggers in this example that I played around with.
Yup, it was set up that way so that the text is still visible once they have been visited.
I also tried adding 4 additional slide layers just containing the respective audio for each item without any media triggers and doesn't seem to work the way I want it to be.
Just to show you, I've attached an interaction file with the exact same setup of triggers for the layers in this course--which works perfectly fine for both mobile and desktop.
Ah, I understand now about the text piece, sorry I missed that. But did at least the audio piece work in the example I shared? Hopefully continuing to play around with that setup will provide a solution for you to use while our team continues to investigate this.
If keeping the text visible is key, what about adding that text into the base slide by using states on your objects? That way it's visible throughout and the layers could control the audio.
Yes, I tried putting the text in the base layer within the Visited state while the audio are left in their respective slide layers--still the same issue with mobile: overlaps with one another.

Thanks for popping back in with additional information Roberto.
