Jun 23, 2017

Hello

I have an issue on published slides where the audio is there and I can hear it in preview, but when I publish to SCORM output, I can't hear it. Also the file is created in storyline 2 now upgrade to storyline 3 version. its working fine in storyline 2 version.

Thanks!

Hi Hari and Ram,

I'd love to help you with this!

Can you tell me:

  • What browser(s) are you using to view the content?
  • What publishing options did you choose (HTML5 first/only, LMS specifications, etc.)?
  • Have you tested the content in any other web servers or LMSs? I'd suggest upload to Tempshare as a good option or using SCORM Cloud for LMS content.
  • Can you share a copy of the .story file with us here? Use the "add attachment" button to include it here.

Let me know and I'll be happy to help!

Hey Hari!

Thanks for letting us know it's only happening when viewing the course locally.

If you view a Storyline 3 course on your local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that can cause various features of the course to fail.

To test your published content, upload it to the environment for which it was published. For instance, since you're publishing for LMS- uploading to SCORM Cloud is the best way to test it outside of your own LMS. Since the audio works there, your file is good to go!

If you do need to view the course locally, publishing for CD will be the option to choose.

Let me know if you have questions!

Hi Ali Goulet,

Thanks for your replay, I tried your option also its not working.

My friend suggest one more option preview the complete project once then publish the course. I tried that one now it seems here the audio in the published file. I think this is not the solution, but seems right now this file is working.

Many thanks to all of you for the support to this issue! :)

Thanks!

Hari
