Hello there! I am wondering too... Is there any way to have simple timline in audio player: stop pause play and rewind? Or we should create triggers only?
You could utilize the slide seekbar, but that will play or pause the entire timeline not just the audio. Storyline doesn't have a way to just pause/play/stop inserted audio.
Just as a followup - and I do not play often with Articulate.... I have another question and a suggestion for Sophia.
The question (for Ashley):
Am I right that the only way to play a sound when it is inserted is to do so automatically? I would like to be able to click on the little speaker and play the sound (nothing more than that - but I do not want it to start playing automatically) - I do not seem to have that capability. Is that right? I am looking for something simple with no layers or triggers.
And the suggestion for Sophia (which is messy but works): translate your audio file to a video format. You will then be able to insert controls. Reduce the size of the screen to something very small and you will have the controls that you want.
Correct, if you do not want to add triggers to play the audio (or show a layer where the audio is) the only option would be to play the audio based on when the timeline of the audio file begins or the timeline of the overall slide. You mentioned clicking something, that'll be where you'd place the trigger - to play audio when the user clicks.

Hello, Ashley! Thank you for your feedback!
Hello Ashley and Sophia,

All the best to both of you

Hi Andrew,

Hope that helps clarify.
Everything is clear. I know that in different browsers controls of video look differently. I suppose I must work on it and to check then. Thank you!
