Auto-Correct Spellecheck - Not Working

Mar 25, 2014

I have set up my storyline following the steps outlined here:

http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/spelling-preferences-proxy-settings-and-other-options.aspx

I have words set to auto replace such as: GBB (to replace with) Good Better Best

but, it does not seem to be working. Anyone else encounter this issue?

Hi Jason,

Interesting! Hadn't ever tried it before in SL. Definitely doesn't work in the way I'm used to.

Seems it works by typing the abbreviation in, leaving the text box or shape (pressing  enter doesn't do anything), and then clicking back inside it. Clicking back inside expands the abbreviation. Wonder if this s/b reported as a bug?

Hi Becky and Jason!

I just tried this out as well and my first attempt flopped. I believe this is because I used the capitalized "GBB". I deleted that entry and added it again as "gbb" and the text corrected right after entering it into a text box. I think part of the issue is that some capitalized text may not be corrected because it's seen as an acronym.

I tried this in on a button and it showed up quickly as well.

Can you let me know if you have any luck with the lowercase version on your end?

Thanks! :)
