Auto layer change freezes non responsive

Jun 20, 2014

I have a user that is using my course and they get to a certain slide that has automatic layer changes and the layer change stops and the course is then unresponsive to mouse click.  the user's web browser is firefox and they are using the newest version of flash.

the course is running off a hosted LMS and is published to SCORM 1.2 standards as required by the LMS.

of course the slide auto layer changes works when i test the course so i'm not sure where to go from here.

Hi there Randy,

Has the user tried to clear their cache or test in another web browser? Just curious if it's a system-specific issue, or a browser-specific issue.

Also, what version of Firefox are they running? Are you running the same version on your machine?

You're welcome to share a link to the course that's being hosted in the LMS. I'd be happy to take a look and see if I experience the same issues. If you're able to find out what version of Firefox they're running, I can see if I'm able to get access to that particular build.

Thanks!

Hi Randy,

Internet speed and "lag" can certainly cause some issues both on a PC and mobile device. If they were experiencing issues with this, it could have causes a problem with the course or it may have impacted a background app and caused a delay in processes on the device.

If they're no longer experiencing that issue and cannot reproduce it, I would say that it's safe to assume it was specific to that connection issue.

Please let me know if you have any other trouble with this, or any questions!

Best,

Christine
