I was wondering if there was a way to automate the dial so that it moved to each step without have the end user do it? I want it to change to the next step as the audio plays.
Clint, you can use triggers to change the value of the variable associated with the dial, that will make the dial move exacting when you want it to. It should be pretty easy, but let me know if you need some help.
You can add triggers that change the dial variable value when timeline reaches x sec (or reaches a cue point). You can also use a looping animation to continuously change the dial variable value, see the fourth example here.

I guess I'm not sure which trigger to use. I tried adjusting the variable, but I'm not seeing anything happen to the dial.
Clint, I've attached a demo project file for you.
