Just wondering if there is a way to set a default animation for a project. So, for example, every picture or shape that I insert automatically has the Fade animation applied.
Probably not possible, just thought I'd ask.

Edit: I know about animation painter and slide masters (thanks anyway!).
There are no default animations for newly inserted shapes or pics. You can however set one object up with animations and then use the Animation Painter tool to quickly apply them to other objects.

There isn't a way to set this to happen automatically but, as Michael mentioned above, you may want to take advantage of using the animation painter in this instance to quickly apply the same animation settings to multiple objects. If it's the same objects and setup on multiple slides, you may also want to look into setting up a slide master with those objects already set to have the animation.
