Automatic menu numbering is acting buggy

I don't know if anyone else has come across this, but in the latest release of Storyline 3 (update 3), for projects that I have "Number the entries in the menu automatically" set, it is displaying some weird numbers in the menu (published output). It also changes as you expand and collapse parts of the menu. See the images below to see what I mean. Is there any way to fix this?

Here are some details:

  • Storyline 3 (update 3) project converted from Storyline 2
  • Windows 10 Pro
  • Published for TinCan, HTML5 output with Flash Backup
  • I tested locally and on LMS, both display same behavior

Hi Leslie,

Thank you for your reply. I've opened a case (01318909) for this issue and uploaded the .story file there since it's a company asset. The above example was a SL2 project upgraded to a SL3 project but I can confirm that this happens with native Storyline 3 projects as well now that I have tested it with another project.

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to pop in and share an update.

The issue reported was a Chrome issue and is resolved in Chrome v69.

Menu numbering is incorrect in Chrome if "Number entries in the menu automatically" is enabled

Be sure to update your Chrome and let us know if you run into any other issues.
