Automatically starting timeline

Further to my last post re: using my own dvd style menu template. I have now got it to work but as is the nature of technology there appears to be one final annoying glitch. When I visit the slide in the normal sequence the timeline starts automatically. However, when I use the lightbox slide to take me to the same slide the time line refuses to move unless i set up the seekbar and press the start button.
I need the timeline to start automatically and have tried every combination of the slide trigger (by user/automatically and automatically decide/reset to initial state/resume saved state) without success. Any ideas anyone.

Paul,
Could you post a sample? If I'm understanding your approach, once you jump to a new slide, that new slide should be playing automatically.

Mike,
As you can see from the attached file if you simply follow the slides in sequence Chapters 2 and 3 play as they should.
When i access those same chapters through the menu slide they do not automatically start the animation.
The other chapters do start automatically but I can not see any difference between the slide and trigger settings.
As you can see I also tried to make a seperate slide without animation and set the elements on the timeline to show all the time, but again for some reason they do not show.
It's got me baffled. Any help would be appreciated.

Paul,
I see and can reproduce on my end. I would have thought that it would play automatically.
