I created an example to test user-driven autoplay functionality.
The attacked story file allows the user to switch between manual and auto play at any point without branching. The AutoPlay variable causes each slide to jump automatically when the timeline ends. The SlideFinished variable causes the slide to jump immediately if the autoplay button is pressed after the timeline has already ended.
I wanted the Autoplay buttons to be a single button with states but I couldn't find a way that the logic would work.
It would be nice if Storyline implemented the following features in the future:
- Make the timeline end 'event' a True/False statement rather than an event.
- Allow the Slide Properties adjustment in the triggers, especially 'slide advances' and 'when revisiting'.
- When a 'When User Click' trigger is copied to a different slide, it becomes 'When Presses a Key'. This is annoying.
