Any avg number would be arbitrary as it depends on the content and level of interactivity.
If it's text it's based on how long to read text. If there's a 10 minute video, then it's 10+ min. If it's a 5 tabs interaction, then it's 5X how much content is on any layer.
Thanks Tom. I understand that this might seem very vague. I guess 1.5 minute is good enough per screen with text and image for a user who is not every tech-savvy. Any thoughts?

In terms of just reading what's on your slide, I've always heard the number tossed around that the average person reads three words per second.
Of course, understanding what they've read, if they are prone, is another story. ;)
