avoiding "Invalid feedback" on a drop-down quiz
Aug 14, 2015
Looking through the forum, I've not been able to find a topic that can explain how to remove invalid feedback on drop-down quizpages.
I have made a quiz with 7 drop down boxes, and I would like the submit button to be inactive until values have been selected in all boxes, instead of showing the "invalid feedback" layer which cannot be entirely customized. I have made my own correct and incorrect feedback which are entirely customizable, so that they fit into my design, but since the invalid feedback can't be made to look like I want it, I'd like to remove it. I've done it on other quiztypes with triggers that look for states of radiobuttons and the like, but none such option exists for drop-down quizzes.
please help!

Hi, Allan -- Thanks for your question! You may want to share your . story file so members of the community can chime in with ideas. I am obligated by contract not to disclose the content of the file, which is why I described the problem in such detail.
matching drop down that doesn't show invalid feedback is all I am after.
Hi Allan! You should be able to simply remove the option on your quiz question as shown below. If you are able to re-create your scenario to share, that may be helpful. You said customize a lot and that's what we would need to see to understand what may be happening :)
Hi Allan,
One other thought as I was reading this - even if you remove the feedback, the user will see the "invalid answer" box, as that indicates they haven't selected any choices before clicking submit. There isn't a way to remove this - but you can modify it as detailed here.
As Ashley says the invalid answer will show in this question type and cannot be suppressed
I made a new matching drop down quiz which avoids this. I had to set the whole quiz up using an ungodly amount of triggers, states and layers. It wont be nearly as easy to use, but I think I nailed it. I will strip the slide of custom graphics and information that our customer doesn't want to share and upload it here when I've got time to do so.
Thanks for trying :)
Thanks Allan for the update and I'm glad you were able to get it working as you needed.
