Backround image increases in size when I duplicate or copy/paste a slide

Feb 16, 2015

Hi

I'm having a problem with the embedded background image increasing in size when copying and pasting or duplicating slides.  The background is embedded in the slide as the slide is produced using the Record Screen function so I can't resize it independently.

Interestingly it doesn't happen in the original recording .story file but it does after I've copied the resulting scene in to my working .story file.  I'm using the first file to record and store the raw video and the second file to build the course.

Worth noting that all captions remain the same size and in the same position as the original.

All settings are identical in both files.

Ah ha - panic over. I've sorted it out myself.

The second version .story file, the one I am using to produce the course was resized to a smaller story size, but I hadn't resized the original file I'm using to capture and store screen captures.  The aspect ratio, however, was the same.

The problem is invisible when you copy and paste the entire scene from the larger to the smaller but when duplicating the slide in the working file, the background picture (not the slide itself) returns to its original size.

A learning point for me...
