Hi, in Storyline 2 I need to insert several images with wide line around them. I set a width of 13 px to line style with the standard compound type, no dash. The problem is that all images in html5 output are rendered as if the top left corner of the border was "missing" (a square hole appears) probably because of the way the border are rendered. I tried all the combinations of "cap type" and "join type" (i put 9 images on the screen with all 9 combinations of the previous options, like "cap type: flat + Join type: round" and so on) but no one of them seems working.
I do see an issue that was reported to our Quality Assurance team where the image border in HTML5 doesn't display as expected, and the vertical sides are larger than the horizontal sides. That sounds different than what you're experiencing - but may be related. Do you have a sample file we could take a look at?
Thanks for sending the file - so it's the images itself, not the border of the player that are showing the hole? Sorry for my confusion there. I see the same thing as in this example I published to Tempshare and the HTML5 output linked here. I saw the same thing in a new file I tested as well, so I'm going to share this with our QA team for additional review. I don't have a timeframe to offer in regards to this issue, so in the meantime I'd utilize a different method to add the border - possibly another shape behind the image and group them together?
thank you ashley, i will follow your advice in the meanwhile creating a group between the image and a square shape. Please, notice that in Storyline 1 this issue is not present, the border seems to render fine.

funny thing, the borders render fine when the project is published from SL1....

Thank you Ashley,
here is an extract. The wider you set the border, the more evident is the "hole" in top left corner.
