I have an hour long course that will be running over a network to 1000's of users. I am attempting to decrease the overall file size. Which audio type is "smaller" or better to use between? I noticed in the output file that MP3 appear in the list but WAV do not.
When publishing content, audio files will be converted and compressed into .mp3 files. The compression rate depends on the quality settings you choose, as described here.
[An update to my original sentence] MP3 and WAV are both supported audio file formats in Storyline, and Michael is spot-on!
If you're looking to reduce the published file size, adjusting the quality settings will help. Also, does your file contain any videos? If so, you can host those videos on a third party site and embed them as Web Objects – this will also significantly reduce the overall file size.
If you'd like a second opinion on the course size before launch, feel free to share it in this discussion or privately in a case here!
