More specifically, use enough slides to prevent clutter. Remember that every single object on the slide is a potential distracter from the one point you want to present on that slide. A million slides with one item each is better that one slide with a million items, and etc.

Otherwise, probably your biggest decision point that determines learning is to divide the content into digestible sized chunks. Think several courses, rather a banquet on one plate.
