I'm at a loss.....I've published, reviewed the story.html file, and all is fine. I created a hyperlink of the story.html to our webpage and randomly, some of the background screens (from a recording) are gone but the animations continue.
Don't know how to resolve this one, I'm working with our internal web/server team and they cannot find a cause.
I've seen something similar before, but it was cause by accidentally deleting the screen recording image from the timeline. Luckily the recording is still saved in your Storyline project, so you can go to the "Record screen" button at the top and using the drop down arrow reinsert the screen recording.
You did mention it happening randomly though, and I'm not sure if you mean particular slides or for particular users, so the other thought I'd want to run past you is to try testing the published version in another web server (possibly Tempshare?) and in a variety of browsers to see if the issue is connected to a specific set up. If you'd like us to test it as well, please feel free to share your .story file here and let us know which images disappear (if there is a consistency to it). If you'd prefer to share privately please feel free to send it along here.
Thanks all.....the projects are miraculously displaying properly through a browser. I'm checking with the server team to see if there had been any updates overnight. I'll let you know what the fix was when I find out.
