Hi Carl! We had some issues with saving SL2 courses that were corrected in Update 5. Please be sure that you are working locally on the latest update to Storyline 2, which is now Update 6.
I have followed the recommendations with regards to saving it local (to the laptops memory ) and not a USB. (I was saving it to an external hard drive). I've not had the message appear since I've been doing this. ( fingers crossed)

I have the same issue. I try to 'save as' with different name but still doesn't work i also try to import to a new project file but some of the slides are missing.

I'm getting the same message. I just updated to SL2 v7. Is there something else that needs to be done?

Hey Tara - I see where you reached out to our support team as well (00998414), so they will be able to take care of you.
I do know that in a previous issue, importing the slides into a new file seemed to help another user as well.

Thanks for reaching out and sharing that you're running into a similar issue.
I was able to successfully open the .story file you shared above as well as import it into a new file.
Curious if the issue happens in any course you are working on or just this particular one?
If you cannot re-create the issue in a new course, I would advise to import the file into a new one and proceed.
If it's happening in any/all files, you should conduct a repair of your software.

The last update for Storyline 2 was released on May 24, 2018 (Update 13—Build 1804.2716).
