Blue screen appears on skipping a slide

Sep 22, 2020

Hi,

We are facing a strange issue in SL 360. We have prepared a course which includes some normal content screens and some interactive screens. The navigation for this course is "restricted" and we have enabled the NEXT button on timeline start for normal screens which allows the user to fast forward the content screen. However, the NEXT button is disabled for interactive screens by defaut and the user cannot move forward until the interactivity is completed. Now, the issue is if we double click on the NEXT button on the content screen just before the interactive screen, it allows the user to skip the interactive screen and if we come back to the previous(interactive) screen, a blue box appears on the screen and the user gets stuck on that perticular screen.

I have attached a video of the issue which shows the steps to replicate this issue and also a .story file for your investigation.

Request you to look into it and help us out.

Regards

Hi Raju!

Thank you for sharing both your file and a screen recording of the snag! After looking through the project, I saw that some of the slides are set to Resume to Saved State. To prevent this type of issue, you'll need to change it to Resume to Initial State.

I'm attaching an updated file where I duplicated the scene and set the slides to Resume to Initial State. Go ahead and test it out, and let me know if that works for you!

Hi Lauren,

Thank you for your reply and the solution for blue screen appearing. This setting has resolved the issue of blue color blocker appearing on screen however, the user can still jump to the next screen by double clicking/continuously clicking on the NEXT button before the screen is completely loaded.

I belive this is something related to the player. It would be super if you look into this as well.
