Blurry Output from Latest Update

Feb 27, 2019

The latest update to Storyline 360 seems to be publishing blurry files. We just did a comparison between one of our folks that updated and one who did not. The updated file is noticeably blurry compared to the older version.

Note: These are both "Published" files, not previews.

The blurry file is from the most recent Storyline 360 update.

No. The only thing that changed is the latest update.

One of our other artists did NOT run the Storyline update and when she publishes the course its crisp. Our folks that did run the latest update when they publish the same course file its blurry.

Sure... I can share them to figure this out.

It almost looks to me like its publishing that blurry preview mode. I'll get the files together this afternoon and shoot them over to the Support Team.

Hi Fazzi,

Thanks for chiming in with your question. It looks like we missed sharing the news here.

We addressed an issue where text and images could be blurry when viewing a course in Google Chrome or Safari in update 26 for Storyline 360. Here are all the details.

Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. If you need more help, please let me know!

Yes, you would want to republish as well.

I have been having this issue since moving to the HTML5 output/ update. I reached out to your IT and they advised I need to re-size my images using a third party application and then add them in. This seems quite crazy to me as I have been working this software for a few years now and never once ran into issues with adding an image. Now I am spending extra time trying to build my courses which seems backwards. Even a simple update that should take a few hours is now taking a few days.  Through my research this seems to be a larger issue as there is thread upon thread with other users experiencing this. Please do not tell me that it is my image, my output, or my browser or anything to do with my work - it really seems like it is a SL issue that needs to be resolved ASAP! Please help us! Thanks :)
