Thanks Jean-Christophe for sharing that here. I'm going to send along to a few folks on staff who are more familiar with French language than me (which isn't saying much - but they're definitely fluent!) so that they can weigh in and share with our product team.
Merci d'avoir signalé cette erreur ! Par contre, je ne suis pas sûre que "opposé de l'affection" est très juste. En réalité, ce serait "n'est pas = à l'affectation", non ? Je signalerai le problème de traduction à l'équipe de développement.
I would not have find the solution by myself, because I use the french region setting and there is a mistranslation in the UI. I think that this translation error is in other langages too.
'NOT assignment' has been translated by 'IS NOT AN ASSIGNMENT'... what means something a bit silly, like '= null'.
I would suggest to Storyline designers to use a more user friendly term like '= Opposite of assignment', it would be easier to translate in other langages like '= Opposé de l'affectation' in french.
Just an idea.
I agree, the Not Assignment operator label is akward. Even in the EN language version, lots of users don't get what this means.
Thanks Michael and we have shared this with our product team and QA to investigate the translations a bit further with the help of some staff who are native French and German speakers - but if you have additional thoughts or ideas to share on what you'd change it too - we're all ears!

You can use the Not Assignment operator to toggle the value of a True/False variable.
Sometimes things are right in front of you and you cannot see them.
Thanks TC
It happens to all of us Tony, so not to worry. I'm glad Michael was able to assist you here!
