Boolean variables

Nov 28, 2013

Hi there,

I am looking for a way to swap the polarity of a boolean variable when a checkbox on screen is selected or deselected.

Some thing similar to the way JavaScript would do it:

varBoolean = !varBoolean

Any ideas?

Thanks Michael,

I would not have find the solution by myself, because I use the french region setting and there is a mistranslation in the UI. I think that this translation error is in other langages too.

'NOT assignment' has been translated by 'IS NOT AN ASSIGNMENT'... what means something a bit silly, like '= null'.

I would suggest to Storyline designers to use a more user friendly term like '= Opposite of assignment', it would be easier to translate in other langages like '= Opposé de l'affectation' in french.

Just an idea.

I agree, the Not Assignment operator label is akward. Even in the EN language version, lots of users don't get what this means.
