Border problem

Mar 27, 2020

Hello, I have a border problem with a rounded rectangle . The rectangle has no border, but there seems to be one. I added a blue rectangle of the same width over it, but we can see a border on each side.

Can someone tell me the problem? I attach the .story and picture of the problem.

Hi Mat,

That is pretty weird. I'm not exactly sure why that is happening when both have the same width. I wouldn't want to say it's an alignment issue since both sides show a border but, what's weirder is I moved the blue rectangle a tad to the left and both borders were gone. (I didn't change the width. Both still at 950) Take a look.

Mat,

I also took a look at this issue for you and I noticed that I could only get one of the sides of the blue rectangle to line up. If one lined up the other was hanging over the edge.

The only way I could get this to work was by adding a white outline of 1px to the rounded rectangle and then increasing the width of the blue rectangle to 951px. See my attached file to see that the alignment is correct, I made a copy of the original and moved the original down a few spaces so you could compare. \

I also disabled the setting of snap objects to other objects under the Grid and Guides menu. You can access this by right clicking in the grey space around any slide you're working on and clicking on 'Grid and Guides'.

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi, Ashley I did some tests and created a new file with informations for the dev team.

I have another problem, the Hover state of a button lowers the text by 1 or 2 pixels. However, I applied the same text options.

Have you ever seen this problem?

Hi Mat!

Thank you for sharing your file! I tried to recreate this in a new file and didn't have the same outcome. The size of the button and text stayed the same in the Hover state.

Here's a quick screen recording of my test. Would you mind also trying to import the file into a new project?

I'm going to share the details we have so far with our Engineering team in the form of a bug report. I'll add your comments, file, and Review link so that we include as much information. When I have an update from our team, I'll report back to this discussion.

Hi Matt,

I'm popping back in here to let you know we could not replicate the behavior of the button moving in a Hover state in the latest version of Storyline 360.

Here's how to install the latest Storyline 360 update to give it a try yourself.

If the problem reappears, please connect with our team, or share a screen recording here, and we'll be happy to help!
