I am having trouble with consistency in the border size of the player on one course. The player generally shows as a thin border around our courses, but on one course it is very wide. Is this something I can control? Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Does this other course have other elements within the player such as a menu, resource, notes tab, seekbar, etc? Those elements will all add additional pixels and height/width to your player as detailed here.
The course with the larger border iniitally had a menu and a logo. We decided to remove the menu and the logo. It looks like what happened when we did that was the the border stayed sized as it was when the menu and logo were inserted, but it centered the course within the borders rather than shrinking the border to fit the size of the course minus the additional elements.
Had you left any custom player settings on any slides? That could be where it's pulling the information from to keep potential space for the menu instead of resizing your entire slide.
Hi there Mandy, thanks for reaching out here! Sorry you're having trouble with extra spacing in the border, and I'm happy to help.
As Ashley mentioned earlier in this thread, this problem can happen when there are custom player settings enabled on any slides, but disabled in the player itself.
Mind if I have a look at your file? You can either attach it in a new thread comment, or you can send it to me privately here. Thanks!

Hi Garrett and welcome to Heroes!

It may also be that player elements are colored similarly and then appearing as a larger border - you can read the tutorial here on how to adjust player colors.
Hope that helps and please let us know if you have any other questions!
Thanks for getting back to me, Ashley

If not,you may want to look at applying a new player to reset it.
I have the same issue. In preview the border is closely the slide. In publish course a lot of space right and left.
I'm desperate.

I checked all pages. 10 had a user-defined player. I changed to standard. AND IT WORKS. Thanks a lot.
Yay, success! 🎉 So glad that worked for you. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!
