When we pull a SCORM Session Report for an exam that allows two attempts, it appears that only the best score is kept/recorded/shown in the report. It is currently set as Passed/Incomplete.
How can we get the SCORM Session Report to show the scores for both attempts?
It's up to your LMS to accept and display both scores within the session report. Have you confirmed with your LMS that this is an option or if there is a particular setting you need to use within the LMS?
I would recommend looking at how it behaves in SCORM Cloud (an industry standard for testing LMS content) as well as the data being transmitted to your LMS by enabling LMS debug mode.
If you need more help with that testing, we'd be glad to lend a hand! Simply share your file with us here, and we'll take care of the rest.
Still waiting to hear back from the LMS. I've loaded the exam in the meantime. All of our exams seem to be functioning this way, so if a solution is figured out for this one I'd love to know how to set it up properly for our other exams as well, please.
Thanks, Alyssa. Hopefully, there is a solution or workaround. These exams are vital for us and we cannot reduce the file size. Otherwise, we will have to abandon Storyline for exams and only use it for curriculum content.
It appears that our LMS only supports SCORM 1.2 which means our large exam files are exceeding the suspend data limit and therefore not tracking multiple attempts. For example, one exam is 50 questions but would have to be reduced to about 28 questions to stay within the limits. Not an option for us as these exams are used for promotion eligibility to ensure users have met the learning objectives sufficiently.
Has anyone else had this issue? What else might we try? Any creative workarounds are welcome.

I'll test it in SCORM cloud and check with our LMS.

In case it helps anyone to know, our LMS is Wisetail.
Thanks again!
Hi Alyssa,
So far we have not been able to figure out why this is happening.
Might there be a setting in Storyline that ensures the SCORM is communicating and recording two attempts?
Currently, in the SCORM Session Report, when a user has taken the exam twice it only whos one attempt and is overwriting the other attempt.
I uploaded the SL file so you can take a look.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks for sending over your file, Philip! I see you're already working with Michael in your case. I'll follow along as your case progresses!
Thanks, Alyssa.

Hi Philip
is the exam part of a module? If so could you split it out and have a link from the content and upload the exam to the LMS as a separate 'object'
Hi Wendy,
It's a module within a course.
What do you mean by "split it out"?
Thanks
