Branching Scoring Problem

Aug 14, 2019

Hi All,

I've built a course using branching logic in Storyline, the course consists of multiple-choice questions with 3 points for the best 'branch', 1 or 2 for the middle 'branch' (depending on the question) and 0 if the user gets it completely wrong. After these, there are standard 1 point each multiple-choice questions.

My problem comes down to scoring, even if I get every question right. I can still never achieve 100% as the scoring as based upon questions I might not necessarily see or answer (based upon including all questions as markable on the results slide). I hope this makes sense. Is there any way around this to only mark/include questions as part of the total, that have been responded to by the user?

Kind Regards

Hi Ben,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you would like to create with your project as well as the roadblock you're running into.

It looks like Alyssa helped you with a similar question previously here.

You will need to report one result slide to the LMS and all questions included on the result slide will be included in the total score.

We are tracking a feature request for this functionality and in the meantime, this is a good conversation to get you started.
