bringing on vectors to edit within storyline

Aug 29, 2016

Hi,

Hope you might be able to help out. I am creating a series of rollover icons in storyline but in order to re-colour the rollover state I need to have the icons as editable graphics in storyline. Is it possible to to bring in Illustrator vectors as objects so they can be edited in storyline? I know in ppt you insert, ungroup and then you may edit. The same process will not work in storyline. Can anyone offer any guidance? Many thannks

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for the response. I had looked at those. The only option is to convert to png which wont provide the flexibility to in storyline to change colours. My only option is to export out multiple pngs which is a shame. Perhaps something for the makers to consider moving forward. ppt offers this capability at the moment.

Thanks again

Hi David,

I am super late to the conversation here but I have a workaround that should help.

  1. Save the Illustrator file as an eps file. Works best if you use the whole page of icons.
  2. Import the eps file into PowerPoint.
  3. Ungroup the eps file (several times as needed).
  4. Import Ppt slide into Storyline. You should have the whole page of icons as editable shapes in Storyline.

Hope this helps,

Mike.
