broken links

I just signed up for a trial of Articulate Online and it's great. I do have one problem with the links in my story not working. I checked them three times and they are entered correctly, but when the program runs and I click on the button that's linked to a web page, Articulate inserts info to the URL, which makes it not work correctly. For example, if I enter link.com/test, it goes to MySite.articulate-online.com/12345/link.com/test. Then, of course, I get an error message saying the page cannot be found. Does anyone know why this is? Does it have to do with being a trial version instead of a full version?

Hi Richard and welcome to Heroes!

All of our trial versions are full versions of the products. I tried this with my own files, adding a link (as a web object and as a trigger to a button) and loaded it to Articulate Online, and they all worked as expected. Are you able to share your .story file here and a link to the published output? If you'd prefer to not post it in the forums, you can always send it to us privately.

Thanks Richard for sharing - I looked through your course and found some links that did work (like the Vimeo video, Facebook page) and a few that didn't (Ohm's law page, APT Online class). Are you able to share the .story file as well so that I can look at how the links are inserted? Since some of them do work, I'd like to see the difference between those and the non-working links in the original file.
