Hoping someone can help me out with a problem I've been running into. I have selected in the Player options to Launch the Player in a New Window and then selected to Display Window with no Browser Controls. This seems pretty straight forward since there aren't multiple options to play with. But whether I publish as LMS or CD, I always get browser controls when I view the course.
I didn't see anything from anyone else like this in the forums. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm using the publish to CD option for my reviewers who don't have Storyline (it creates a standalone version for them to review).
Here is a screenshot of one of my test files. I've highlighted the settings used in the image. This file was uploaded to my client's LMS. The screenshot is of the course launch from the test LMS.
Why are there controls showing when I've selected no controls? Again, just like in the tutorial Rutwin mentioned, it's just a checkbox so why it's not working doesn't make sense to me.
Since the CD version is launched inside a player and not a browser, I believe the "browser controls" you are referring to are not the browser controls mentioned at the browser settings.
Ultimately the LMS version is the one that needs to work. Sorry if mentioning the CD version was a detour. To refocus, I'd love to know why the screenshot I show above isn't removing the browser controls even though that option is checked (I published it for LMS).
I have never used the LMS option myself....but does the problem only occur when using that option? or also when publishing for web?
If publishing for web also gives the same issue, then please upload your .story file so I can take a look
If publishing for the web works the way it should and the issue only occurs when publishing to LMS then I'm affraid someone else will have to help you out here. (sorry)
Hope you get the issue sorted and the project working the way it should
Hi Jennifer! Another great way that we advise is testing your course in SCORM Cloud. This helps us determine if the issue is Articulate related or if it's on your LMS's side? If it appears in SCORM Cloud as well, we'd be happy to take a closer look at what might be going on. If you can't replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud, it's probably an issue that you'd want to take to your LMS team.
It sounds as if you already know which direction to head though.

Hi Jennifer,
What exactly do you mean with "browser controls" when you are publishing to CD?
Maybe your question is answered in the tutorial at the link below:

I just tested publishing to web and the issue is not recreated. :( Perhaps the issue is with my clients LMS.
