Bug closed captions - Only 1 language after publishing

Jul 27, 2020

Hi guys,

I have created a course with three languages (branched module in which you pick your preferred language at the beginning).

However, when I publish the course, all videos in each language only show the closed captions in 1 language (Spanish). In Articulate I have added the right captions to the right videos, and in the Preview mode I can see the English, Portuguese and Spanish closed captions at the right place. Yet, when I publish the course as a SCORM 2004 and view it, only 1 language is visible (so in the English and Portuguese part of the module, only Spanish subs are visible).

The closed captioning files have different file names, yet the video files have the same file name.

Can you please help me out with this issue? Is it a bug in one of the latest versions, so should I update to a previous version?

Unfortunately uploading the file is not possible since it is huge and it takes a very long time.

Hi Frisse!

I'd love to help!

It sounds like you're seeing the right behavior in Storyline 360 but not after publishing using SCORM 2004.

We'll start with these two steps:

  1. Publish the course for the Web. Choose to save a zip folder, and then upload it to Tempshare.
  2. Test the course in SCORM cloud which is a free industry-standard testing engine. You can find the steps here!

Please keep us updated with what you find!
