A ranking drag and drop slide set up correctly initially, but when I tried to drag it down the screen, the whole thing defaulted to Height, 30 pixels, and refuses to set back to the required height. I have tried to re-set it through the Size and Position dialogue, and through Drawing Tools, Format, Height. The former will take the new size but loses it, the latter will not allow the 30 px to be changed in the first place.
Hi, Christine -- Sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing. Would you be able to share your file or a sample here to illustrate the behavior you are seeing? In the meantime, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can run through to rule out the causes of some odd behavior.
Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on Update 5 can be found here.
Was there any resolution to this? I am having the same issue when I try to resize the box. It also happens when I try to assign a different master slide layout.
I'm not sure if Christine shared her file with us and Christie is out today so I am not certain of where this issue stood or if we got to take a look at what she was working with. Did you already review the ideas and steps she mentioned above? If so and you're still having difficulty can we take a look at your .story file?
Hi, Amanda -- I just wanted to stop in to note that we were not provided a file from Christine, but as Ashley mentioned, you are certainly welcome to share yours here if you'd like us to check it out. And you are always welcome to reach out to Christine directly using the "Contact Me' link on her profile page if you'd like to inquire as to whether or not she reached a resolution. :)

It starts like this.
then as soon as I try to move it or do any change to it, it defaults to this. However, it only does it after I have applied a background.
Hi Christine if you click to select the entire rectangle can you not resize it so that the scroll bars are removed?
No. It's something to do with the background template. If I set the background to plain, then overlay the graphic used in the template, it works fine.
Hi, Christine -- Thanks for the update and please feel free to share your .story file if you would like us to take a closer look for you.
