bug report: answer disappear in quiz in html5 after alert message

Oct 24, 2013

to reproduce this bug, insert a multiple choice quiz slide, set it to "reset to initial state" when revisiting. then test it in html5 mode. instead of choosing one answer, try to click "submit", the alert message appears to warn you about selecting one answer, click OK and.... the slide restars but does not show you any answers on the screen.

this is just one of several navigation problem that has been notified by our customers when they test the course on a tablet.

I think we can agree on the fact that the only reason why someone should take a course in html5 mode, is because he is using a mobile device. Furthermore, tin can api is not still well supported on LMS platforms, and one of the reason is the problem in managing the autentication login on the platform (that can be very predictable in corporate LMS managing), so we are very far from being able to use storyline ipad app to distribute courses. (also because of other restrictions that we are not here to discuss about)

by these reasons, the html5 engine should be very very improved, tested, debugged, more that its is now. Seriously.

the scroll bar of the course menu is impossible to use, in firefox for android not clickable, sometimes disappears on ipad, screens flashing like disco when you click on submit on ipad, text fields containing variables are displayed smallest than the real size, etc etc etc.

and the quality of the graphic in htm5 is very poor, text element are reduced to png (why??? this is again the principle of accessibility and increases a lot the size of the course without any reason)

your support on this forum is active, people are collaborative and disposable, but i'm sorry to say that there is still a lot of work to do reach a good level in html5. And you should hurry up, because other companies out there, have taken in big consideration to distribute robust developing tools for e-learning with high-quality export level in html5.

Hi Zio,

Thanks for sharing that information here, and if you think there is a bug that you'd like us to test further it's best to open up a Support case so that we can use your files and understand all the conditions under which you test it.

You mentioned Android's as well, and I wanted to remind you that currently we don't support delivery Articulate content via Android, and I'd encourage you submit a feature request regarding platforms you'd like to see us support.
