Bug report: Can't have multiple web objects in HTML5

Apr 15, 2013

Hello

I've encountered an issue where I am unable to have multiple web objects in HTML5.  I've created a slide that has 3 embedded HTML objects and, when I publish and run the story_html5.html file, the three spots flash dark for a moment, then only one of the web objects load; the other 2 spots go light.

Inspecting the DOM shows that there is only 1 <iframe> element whereas I would expect 3, one for each element.

This occurs in:

- Chrome 26 on Windows 7 (x64)

- Safari 5.1.7 on Windows 7 (x64)

- Chrome 26 on Mac OS X 10.8.3

- Safari 6.0.3 on Mac OS X 10.8.3

My intuition is that, as part of the initialization of the slide, a function runs that replaces placeholders with <iframe> tags.  This function doesn't consider multiple web objects and discards all but 1.

I've attached a file demonstrating the issue using a remote site (example.com).  The same behaviour occurs when using local web objects.

Please let me know if I can provide any more information.

Richard

Hi Martin,

We don't have an update on this issue just yet. However, any threads on the topic (including this one) will be updated when we have more information. I recommend subscribing to this thread, if you haven't already.

In the meantime, it may help to share your .STORY file so we can confirm this is the issue you're experiencing. If the file is too large to share on the forums, and you receive an error message, just let us know.

Best,

Christine
