Build 7 Issue With Resizing Slides?
Sep 21, 2015
Hello!
I just downloaded SL2 build 7:1509.1408 and was trying to update an older course to incorporation some of the wonderful tips we learned last week during the webinars. I am trying to move from the 4:3 format to the 16:9 format. A typical scene has 36 slides. When I select DESIGN, STORY SIZE, and select the 16:9 format, the program runs and runs and runs... forever. I finally pulled up the Task Manager and saw that Storyline was not responding. So I closed it and tried it again. No luck.
So I am wondering if there is a bug in build 7 or if my original project has an issue with the new build? Any ideas?

Hi, Richard -- Can you please confirm that you are working locally as described here?
It may also be helpful to try importing the file into a new file, and if you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline.
Please feel free to share your file if issues persist, and we can run some testing on our end. :)
Yes, Christie, I am working locally.
I'll try the new file idea, and then repair. If all that fails, I'll be back....
Hi Richard,
I'd agree with Christie here, that you'll want to start a new file setting the story size and then importing the other slides in, as that way Storyline will handle the change in sizing, location of objects as a part of the import process based on the options you choose. But definitely keep us posted after going through those steps and the repair.
Thanks! I will get to the import idea later today, as I am 3/4 of the way through one course revision and only have a couple more hours to go.
Sounds great, Richard. Thanks so much for the update. :)
Creating a new template than importing the project into it worked just fine. Of course, now i have to go in and reset object placement to make the new 16:9 format look better, but that's a small price to pay!
Thanks for all your help!
Thanks for the update Richard and I'm happy to hear it's working well.
So glad to hear you are all set, Richard! Thanks for letting us know. :)
