Building a Skills Assessment - Tracking Scores in Multiple Categories

Mar 19, 2020

Hello!

I'm building a skills assessment in 360 for new employees. We want to gauge their proficiency in 5-6 categories, showing a percentage for each individual category. We then want to report this to our LMS. This will be done by having the employee go through 5 or 6 interactive scenarios and their choices will determine their score.

For example:

Service - 80%

Product Knowledge - 75%

Interviewing Skills - 60%

I've found an article that says we can report multiple variables to the LMS (here it is: https://articulate.com/support/article/reporting-storyline-variables-to-an-lms)

I want to confirm if this is what I really need to do or if there's a better option for us to track their scores in each category? I appreciate anyone's feedback!

Hi Heather!

I'm looking forward to hearing how other community members built a similar course! One possibility is having a results slide for each category, and then reporting those results slides to one final results slides.

A result slide can track question slides or other result slides. Use the Calculate results for drop-down to select one of the following:

Selected questions

Use this option to track individual question slides and question draws.

Selected results slides

Use this option to combine other result slides into a cumulative score.

Then, mark the boxes for the question slides or result slides you want to track.

I can't wait to see what others come up with!
