Built in marker issue

Hi,
I am having a bit of an issue with one of two markers that I have on a project.
The way I want the project to work is the user hovers over both markers and then this enables them to click through to two further slides. Both of these slides return back to this main screen with the markers. However, on returning from either of the two slides, the marker on the left stops working.
I have tried duplicating the marker and creating a new project but am running into the same issue.
Has anyone else had this problem before?

Would it work for your design if, instead of Marker 1 having a hidden initial state, you create a trigger to change its state when the timeline starts?
I am attaching the edited file with the suggested change.

Thanks for getting back to me. That was useful, thanks, however meant that on each return to the homescreen, the users was have to hover over the first marker to see the other. Using your suggestion along with a variable seems to have fixed the issue.
