I'm using the built in variables in storyline 360 to show a user their progress (total number of slides viewed -OF - total number of slides in project)...so they see "1 of 12" for example.
I have a few slides i DONT want counted, so i've deselected them from the "exclude slides" table...
I've created a textbox where i'm referencing these variables...
On the screen in build mode, all looks great... (0 of 32)....however when i preview it...it shows 0 of 42. It's still including all the slides I told it not to?!!
I'm not having that same trouble; preview is working appropriately, and does not count excluded slides. I just upgraded to the current version of 360 yesterday.
Hi, I'm afraid I'm still having difficulties. I've working in a different project now and a similar issue is occurring.
IN PROJECT ORDER: The "total slides in project" variable is still displaying 41, even though I've excluded some slides and it should be 31 (i've excluded the question bank).
IN MENU ORDER: It's displaying 29 as i realise it doesnt register results slides (there are 2)...
It seems to be the question bank that's the problem...Do i either have to live with the results slides NOT being counted even though i want them to be...or the question bank BEING included even thought i DON'T want them to be?
Thanks Phil, yeah i've realised now results slides they aren't included if i use the menu order. But i'm not sure why the project total is still including excluded slides?
I've tried to replicate removing a question bank, and it does reduce the Total number of slides in project. I'm curious to check out your file to see why that is happening.
Hello, I wondered if there was a resolution to this? I am having the same difficulty with using Project.TotalSlides and it seems to be including the quiz draw that I have excluded both in the excluded slides panel and in the menu. After testing, I can't seem to make the total slides reduce to a number that doesn't include the quiz draw.
I took a look and do not see where Lucy submitted a support case, so I do not have an update to provide outside of what you can see here.

Could you share the SL file?
Hello Lucy!
It sounds like the numbers could be out of order. This article walks you through this exact scenario.
Please let me know if you have questions!

The results slide never appears in the menu so will not be counted you would need to use another slide number variable to include results slides
