Button states in Storyline 2

Dec 16, 2015

Hi there, I've just got my hands on an SL2 upgrade - yay! So I decided to convert a course I was in the middle of building in SL1 to SL2.

But I'm having a bit of trouble with button states. I'm using markers for navigation buttons in this course and have customised the hover state to change the button and icon colour.

Everything works beautifully in SL1. In my SL2 version, the states are still showing as I designed them, but the icon colour doesn't change when preview the course and hover over them.

I've tried adding brand new marker buttons and modifying the states within SL2, but get the same result.

Not sure if this is a bug related to the following discussions that I found?

Most odd. Any suggestions or workarounds would be gratefully received.

Many thanks,
Gillian

Hi Gillian!

This is an issue that we are aware of and has been shared with our QA Team. I will add this thread for user awareness and so that we can update when applicable.

Here is the workaround:

  1. Select the Marker you want to edit and click on "Edit states".
  2. Select the hover/visited state and change the icon color to your desired color.
  3. Right click on the marker on the slide and choose save as picture and save the file on your desktop.
  4. Insert the image over your marker (still editing the hover/visited state).
  5. Click on Done Editing states.
