button states not working on custom buttons

I have created a custom button with a visited state, however the visited state does not show after clicking the button. If I use a button from the "insert button" ribbon, the visited state shows after you click. I have seen comments that you need to put the buttons in a button set, but that is not how a visited state should work. A button set is utilized when you are using radio buttons or only want one button selected at a time, it does not depict that a button has been "visited." I have noticed when using custom designed buttons in Storyline that the functionality and states just do not work as they should.

Hello,
For some reason, it works if you fill the disc of your Visited state with plain white instead of transparent. Might have to do with button hotspot being diffenrent from other states?
Not going to give the effect I want, but I will give it a go. Storyline is so picky! Maybe it ignores the transparency. I have a transparent square behind all objects so that each button is the same clickable area. I guess I'll have to go with the white. Thanks for looking into it
Did some testing, it appears Storyline ignores invisible (transparent) shapes/objects when used in button states. The button will not "appear" when published. (No hand icon to indicated a button, like a hotspot).
Conclusion setting transparency in buttons in a no-no.
thanks again
