Button - Visited State Interactions

I have 6 boxes on a slide which users have to click on (using a hotspot) which takes them to another layer which provides more information. On each slide I have one or two buttons which allow the user to learn more information using branching slides. So far so good

Then I had the bright idea that it would be useful if once a button had been clicked a tick appeared on the button to show it had been activated:

I therefore edited to visited state button and assumed it would all now work perfectly. The button does show the tick when clicked but none of the other interactions work :(

I am fairly new to using states. Am I missing something obvious?

I think you should be using the Selected state instead of Visited for what you are describing.Hope this helps,Alex

Thanks for your responses...it turns out I had indadvertantly deleted one of the layers which was having a knock on effect. Realised what had happened, redid the layer and hey presto it worked how it should. Everything is now right with the world.
