camera/video lighting

I have set up my own amateur studio in my back room which has a sloping roof and skylight windows. I have also invested in a backdrop so when I get a reasonably bright day and I film at the right time the lighting is great. Unfortunately I live in the UK where I can not rely on the weather. Other than using the standard flash I do not have much experience using external lighting. I am also looking to use video so a constant light source rather than flash would probably be the best option, but I am open to any suggestions. Could anyone suggest the best type of light or combination which would produce a good consistant result indoors in limited daylight.
Appreciate any suggestions

Hi, I bought some really effective daylight lights from eBay, cost around £80 for two light units, each one has 5 low voltage lights and all can be controlled easily. Gives great results, even just shooting on my iPhone on a clamp.
Yusuf,
That sounds just just the type of lighting i need. Could you let me know the make and model and i will take a look.
Appreciated.

Hi Paul, it was awhile ago, but they look like this, not branded at all, they come from China. But they work very well for what I need them for.
This one has 4 lights per unit, i would not go for any less than that per unit.
